Sister's Trip...NYC!!!

My sisters and I did a girls trip to the Big Apple! It was filled with 4 Broadway shows, good food and good shopping!!! Oh, and did I mention no kids! We had a great time that I will never forget. Our hotel was the Carlton on Madsen Ave., a swanky place located by the Empire State building.

Saturday morning we went and had breakfast in Central Park. JeuneElle and I came upon the most amazing invention...a Waffle Mobile! No lie! They sold waffles and dingers (dingers being the different toppings to put on your waffles, for those of you novices to a waffle mobile). Yea, it was amazing. Of course the highlight was a german family in front of us who paid for there meal in change. Ten dollars in change...pretty funny. Of course JeuneElle couldn't help herself but to ask the Waffle Maker if he had change for a dollar. Yea, she thought she was funny. Okay, so I thought she was funny. Good times!

We spent most of our time in Times Square. The first day it rained on us... alot. But that didn't stop us. We had sights to see and shows to attend. We went to 2 Broadway Musicals (Wicked & Curtains) and went to 2 Broadway Plays (A Country Gril & Boeing Boeing). All were AMAZING!!!

We used the Subway to get everywhere. It was a lot of fun and definitely the best place to people watch. We did have a few momnets of barely making our rail and also getting pushed out of the way by random strangers..it felt very "New York".

The Cat in the Hat

Brinley chose to do the Cat in the Hat Comes back for her 2nd grade book report. You were supposed to dress as the main character of your book and then tell the story from their view point. She made a pretty cute Cat in the Hat!!!

Gale Family Moab Trip

Phil and I started a new family tradition... we took our kids to Moab. And of course you can't go to Moab unless you go jeeping (according to Gale family rules and regulations). We had such a great time we decide that every spring we will go. We did make some alterations to the Gale family rule book and decided that we would veto the camping and stay in a hotel. Pool, bathrooms, showers, not a bad alteration.

My in-laws (Doug and Cindy) came with us. Doug is a certified Moab expert and so we were sure to hit all the top spots Moab had to offer. We started by a hamburger and homemade rootbeer at Ray's Tavern in Green River and of course had to eat pizza at Eddie McStiff's.

Brin & Tyler had a few screams on some steep inclines, while Ryan took it all in stride!
